Author Guidelines for Tourism, Leisure and Global Change
Only papers presented at meetings sponsored by the IGU Tourism Commission will be included in Tourism, Leisure and Global Change (TLGC).
Occasionally other papers that are associated with the IGU Tourism Commission, but are not conferences papers, will also be included at the discretion of the editors.
COPYRIGHT NOTICE (important - please read carefully)
Authors maintain full copyright to all papers published in TLGC. Papers may be published in other outlets, but must included the note "an earlier version of this paper was published in Tourism, Leisure and Global Change" (or something similar), with reference to the Volume and Year of publication. Papers that do not include that statement will be removed from TLGC.
All papers (and presentations) published in TLGC have a Creative Commons Copyright (CC) with Attribution (BY), Non-Commercial (NC), and No Derivative (ND) requirements. This means that anyone can download and share the papers but must indicate who the original author and publication source is (BY). Papers cannot be used for commercial purposes (NC), and papers cannot be changed in any way (ND). As the copyright holder, however, authors may give permissions for uses that go beyond the CC-BY-NC-ND restrictions.
Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal.
Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their website) prior to and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and greater citation of published work.
Authors who submit papers and presentations to TLGC agree to the terms of this Copyright Notice, which will apply to their submission if and when it is published by this TLGC.
Authors Also Agree:
The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word (.DOC or .DOCX), .RTF or PowerPoint (PPT or PPTX) file format. (Not PDF, .PPS or .PPSX)
Headers and footers have been left blank, with no page numbers or titles.
Where available, URLs (web address) for the references have been provided.
References to articles that are only available online (have not yet been published in print) also include either the DOI or full URL.
The text is single-spaced; uses Arial or Calibri 11 point font; employs italics, rather than underlining for book and journal titles (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end of the entire paper.
The authors have full copyright permission for all figures and tables in the paper or presentation. If you are uncertain about this, then you must remove the figure or table.
References are in APA format and the text, abstract and keywords adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Tourism Geographies Notes for Authors and TLGC Author Submission Guidelines on this page.
All authors must format their paper following these guidelines:
