ABSTRACT FORMAT TEMPLATE & INSTRUCTIONS 
  • Please use this MS Word file to format your abstract.
  • Maximum 1500 words (3 single spaced pages), excluding cover page and references
  • Cover page containing full author name, complete address, phone number, and email for all authors listed
  • All submissions must be written in English.
  • Submissions must be original and cannot have been published or accepted in a journal or conference proceedings.
  • All submissions must be in PDF format.

POSTER PRESENTATIONS are welcome as an alternative to a paper presentation.
  • Please indicate if you are doing a Poster with your abstract submission.
  • You are responsible for printing your own poster. The conference organizers will display the poster for you.
FULL PAPER FORMAT TEMPLATE & INSTRUCTIONS
  • Please use this MS Word file to format your full paper.
  • Full paper submissions are required for those who want their paper to be considered as a candidate for the best paper award. The best paper award is for presenters who are under age 35 and will be competitively selected by the paper review committee and will be published in Tourism Geographies (SSCI journal). Runners up will also be recognized.
  • Full papers are limited to 10,000 words (20 single-spaced pages including tables, figures and references).  Papers that exceed 10,000 words and 20 pages must pay a US$20 per page (500 words) additional fee.

  • You will need to  create an account on the Easychair system to submit your abstract.

  • The submission system will only accept PDF formatted abstracts and papers.
  • Please remember the Paper ID that will be assigned to you by the Easychair system. You will need it to Register for the conference. 
  • You can continue to edit and revise your abstract or paper after it has been submitted in the Easychair system. but before the submission deadline (see below).  You cannot edit your manuscripts after the submission deadline.

ABSTRACT REVIEW
  • Abstracts will be reviewed by the conference scientific committee for quality and suitability to the conference themes. 
  • Authors will be notified of their abstract's acceptance for presentation by 10 May 2016. Please contact the Conference Secretariat if you have not received an email by that date.
  • Conference Registration and Payment Information will be sent with the Abstract Notification. Please remember your Paper ID from the Easychair website.

  • 1 to 10 May 2016 - Acceptance Notification for Presenters and Non-Presenters
  • 1 May 2016 - Conference Registration Opens
  • 10 June 2016 - LAST DAY TO REGISTER FOR THE CONFERENCE **

  • 15 August 2016 (Mon) - Conference delegates arrive in Suzhou
  • 16 August 2016 (Tue) - Suzhou Excursion; Travel to Nanjing
  • 17 August 2016 (Wed) - Nanjing Paper Sessions & Nanjing Excursion
  • 18 August 2016 (Thu) - Nanjing Paper Sessions & Closing

  • 19 August 2016 (Fri) - Optional Post-Conference Field Trip to Hangshan (Yellow Mountain)
  • 20 August 2016 (Sat) -  Optional Seminar at Anhui Normal University (in Wuhu, Anhui Province)
** Due to the special arrangements for this meeting, space is limited and early registration is required.

PRE-CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS   &   FULL PAPER SUBMISSION
  • A Pre-Conference Proceedings  will be provided on in digital format that will be distributed (cd rom or flash drive) at the conference. All participants are invited to submit their full paper for the Pre-Conference Proceedings, which will also contain all of the paper abstracts. A full paper submission is not required, except for those who wish to be considered in the Outstanding Paper Competition.
  • There will be no peer review of full papers submitted to the Pre-Conference Proceedings. All abstracts will be peer reviewed to ensure suitability to the conference themes, completeness of content, and acceptable grammar.
  • Full papers that must be submitted by 15 April 2016 to be included in the Pre-Conference Proceedings.  All papers received that conform to the full paper submission instructions and copyright restrictions will be included without additional editing. Please format your manuscript using the Full Paper Template and Instructions file.
  • Authors must obtain written permission to use copyrighted material in their full papers. See: Permission Guidelines and Permission Request Form. In general, it is suggested that you remove all copyrighted material from your paper. Papers for which this is an issue will not be included in the Pre-Conference Proceedings.
  • Please format your full paper using the conference full paper format template and instructions (see left).

POST-CONFERENCE PUBLISHING & INDEXING
  • The Conference Best Paper Award winner will be published  in the journal Tourism Geographies (SCSI 1.695 Impact Factor; editor Alan A. Lew).  This competition is only open to presenters who are under age 35. The paper may require additional editing and revisions prior to publication.
  • All other full papers will be eligible to be published in a Post-Conference Proceedings book to be published by Springer.  Authors will be responsible for proper English copy editing of their papers.  Please follow the Full Paper Template and Instructions above for formatting your paper.  The copyright permissions, indicated above, must also be followed.
  • Papers submitted to the Post-Conference Proceedings book will be fully copyrighted by Springer.
  • The Post-Conference Proceedings book will be submitted by Springer to the Thomson ISI Proceedings Index. Only papers included in book will be indexed. Therefore, all participants are encouraged to submit a paper, even if it is relatively short, by the 15 April 2016 due date.
  • Presentation (Powerpoint files) may be submitted for publication in Tourism, Leisure and Global Change.  Please note that copyright permissions are also required for published presentations.
